Well, many first time bloggers who do not have the proper way or proper guide to blog end up becoming failures. After making lots of mistakes they learn from their mistakes and then start a proper blog which gives them a small income. This should not be the case with you so I will share my story of blogging with you so that you can learn from my mistakes.
I first started my blog in the year 2014 on Blogger and continued blogging on it for about 1 year. I would have written approximately about 20-30 posts and then put adsense on my blog. As my blog could get only 1000 to 1500 visits every month then Adsense Ads didn't earn me much and I grew impatient and don't know what I was thinking, I deleted my whole blog. That was my first mistake.
Never delete your blog, no matter how much time it takes to build up audienceI also needed to be patient and if I could just have kept patients instead of deleting my blog it would have been an altogether different story. The surprising thing is that I had it was a blogspot domain and blog was hosted on blogger so I was blogging at practically no fees. So that act was foolish altogether.
Always be patient while blogging. To get a proper traffic you need atleast 20000 views per month before you start getting a good sum from Adsense AdsThe second mistake I made here was I only put Adsense ads on my blog which due to low traffic did not earn clicks and even in a year I couldn't reach the minimum threshold of payout and resulted in no payout at all.
Never entirely depend on Adsense Ads because it takes millions of traffic to generate a proper 100$ per day incomeIn blogging, you should always have different sources of income or you will have very low earnings from your blog. Ads are altogether a great way to earn from your blog but you should also have other income sources like affiliate marketing or sell your own products.
Just after some months, I started feeling like I have nothing creative to do and again opened a blog on blogger.com with name developshack.blogspot.com. I had to start everything from again because I had forgotten to take the backup of posts of my old blog. This was the third mistake I made.
Always take backup of the posts on your blog.This time I started getting a good amount of traffic and decided to go with WordPress so I got a Godaddy coupon, purchased a domain name and installed WordPress on my blog. This was my first Hosted Wordpress blog. Well as I said Adsense ads need a huge amount of traffic even with about 5k traffic on my blog I could just get about 5-10$ a month and at the end of my hosting price, I decided I wanted to discontinue blogging. The fourth mistake.
Never delete your blogs. As the age of the domain increases so does the search engine ranking of the site. If I had not deleted the domain then I could have got an advantage of SEO over my new blogAfter two years, it struck to me that blogging wasn't just a hobby or a source of income, it was my passion and a creative channel for me. So I again made a blog in July 2018 and till now have written about 150 posts. I have Adsense Ads on my blog but I also run Amazon Affiliate ads on my blog. Adsense has paid out two times but its affiliate marketing income that helps me keep up with my expenses.
