With the release of iPhone X and recently released Android Pie, navigation gestures have become a popular method of navigation. There were navigation gestures apps long before Android Pie officially included gesture navigation in its navigation system. A small gesture control app called pie gestures used to dominate the world. Now after the release of Android Pie, there are like dozens of navigation gestures app in the market. People have become confused which navigation gestures app they should use.
If you are running on Android Pie which is currently the latest Android operating system then you can best use google's inbuilt navigation gestures method. If you are using Android Pie and cannot find the gesture navigation system in your phone then chances are that you haven't enabled them yet.
Here is a process to enable navigation gestures in Android Pie. Those not using Android Pie can skip this process.

3. Select a gesture and enable swipe up on the home button gesture, slide left for recent apps and slide right for back option gesture.
To enable software navigation keys again type this command.
This app is for people who like simplicity instead of fancy UI or for die-hard one plus fans. You have a choice for displaying pill for using gestures without the pill. The app is free and the basic gesture settings can be used in the free version. You can also configure the size, color, and accent of gesture pill in the free version. You have to pay a one time fee of Rs.130 or 1.83$ for some premium gestures like pull-down notifications, take a screenshot, etc. This app has been developed by an XDA member and has also been featured on the XDA portal. So this is also a must try the app.

1. Open your app drawer and Go to Phone settings.
2. Scroll down and tap on System.
3. Select a gesture and enable swipe up on the home button gesture, slide left for recent apps and slide right for back option gesture.
Navigation gestures are successfully enabled for Pie users.
If you are running lower android version then you might probably not have navigations gestures in your system. If you are an MIUI user and you have received the MIUI 10 update then chances are you won't have to download additional software for navigation gestures. You can just enable them by checking out this guide. Well if you are bored by the gesture navigation system which Xiaomi uses then you seriously need to the below mentioned two apps and use the app of your choice.

Fluid Navigation gestures.
This app is my personal best and I seriously recommend to use the app at least once before you go on to try the second app. This app uses gesture type which is shown in the image above. You can edit and configure all the gestures for the app. To control the color, accent, and size of the gestures you have to unlock pro version which will cost you a one-time payment of Rs.97 or 1.37$ but even if you do not wish to use the pro version you can still edit all the gestures. We recommend buying the pro version of the app to support the awesome development.
You can also disable software navigation keys through the app. Just follow the step by step process.
First, download Minimal ADB and Fastboot from here.
Now install the file you downloaded and go to the installation folder.
Now right click on the mouse while simultaneously pressing shift key on the keyboard and select Open command Window here option.
Now type the following command.
adb shell pm grant com.fb.fluid android.permission.WRITE_SECURE_SETTINGSNow the app will automatically disable the software navigation keys on your phone.
To enable software navigation keys again type this command.
