How to block ads in MIUI 13 || Root Needed

Some people are OK with it but most of the people don't like ads intruding their system. So here is a tutorial to block ads on Xiaomi Smartphone.

Xiaomi has recently been announced as the number one smartphone brand in India. Xiaomi smartphones have topped the market in one year of its release in India. The Xiaomi's flagship phone Poco F1 which was released just a few months back made a large number of scales with specs like Snapdragon 845 octa-core processor, 6 GB RAM, and 128 GB internal storage.

The sad thing is the whole MIUI has been designed to show ads in their system. Some people are OK with it but most of the people don't like ads intruding their system. So here is a tutorial to block ads on Xiaomi Smartphone.

How to block ads on Xiaomi phones

There are two methods to block ads on a Xiaomi phone. Method one is the most preferred one. Let's see both the methods in detail.

Method 1:

In this method, we will manually disable recommendations in every app which shows adds. Open Mi themes application and in about profile section go to settings.

In settings, you will see the recommendations option. Turn it off. You have blocked ads in Mi themes application

Open Mi music and open the side menu. Inside menu click on settings menu below feedback

In the settings menu select advanced settings and scroll down to additional settings. Disable the Recieve Recommendations option. You have blocked ads in Mi music application.

Now open MI videos app and click on the side menu. Select settings below the feedback option.

Here you will see two options named online notifications and push notifications. Turn off both options. You have blocked ads in Mi video

Now the last step. Open security app and click on settings and turn off Recieve recommendations.

Go to Cleaner and disable Recieve recommendations.

Go back and select boost speed and disable Recieve recommendations. You have successfully disabled ads on your Xiaomi phone.

Method 2:

This method uses root and can cause Google app to disable suggestions and some social media sites like Facebook too. Please use it at your own risk.
