I, being a blogger and an Android developer myself, have gone through stages when you don't even get 1$ per month to 100$ just in a day. Income with android app development is not fixed but I can assure you that as long as your app is used by users you will generate revenue.
Now that being said how will you generate revenue? There are two revenue models for Android developers. On is paid app and free app with ads. We will see both the ways in detail.
Paid app has two categories. One is to install your app users have to pay a small sum. Other is users can use your app for free but they have to pay for using premium features. Most of the developers go for the second option which is quite popular in the market. One question that comes here is how to price your app. You can price your app at a range you want but your app must provide premium features which should be of equal value of the price paid by the user.
If you consider going for premium pricing like 10$ or 20$ then it is most likely that the will be much fewer users who buy the app. I am not saying that your app is bad or something but people nowadays don't like to pay for anything without testing it first which open way to new innovative earning methods will I will discuss letter in this post. So you with some advertising you can expect 20-30 monthly installs. So summing up you will get 10$×200 installs which accounts to 2000$ per month. Not bad for an android app.

If your app is sure to fall into the category then make sure that users pay one time fee for installation of the app or you won't earn big.
