Why buy courses for android development when Google itself is providing a full course to begin android development from beginner level to advanced level. This course is developed by Google in association with udacity. Everything from beginning to advanced tutorials in android development is available free of charge and that too from experts from Google developers. So why buy stuff when everything is available for free.
Getting the content is tricky though as it is hosted on Udacity site. Udacity has made it a tricky for Android developers so instead of going for the free development tutorials available users buy the udacity tutorials. I myself was tricked for the first time while using the site but eventually, I got all the free stuff and today I am here to share it with you.

Google Associate Android Developer Certification program
The Google Associate Android Developer certification program is a test which is conducted by Google and if you pass the test successfully you are awarded a certificate as Associate Android Developer by Google. This certificate is valid for 3 years time. After 3 years you will have to apply again if you want a certificate. The cost of this exam is Rs 6500 or 93.97$. If you pass the exam, a representative from Google will visit you with a certificate.

How to get the courses of Google which are hosted with Udacity.
Below is the list of courses available from Google. Some are hosted on youtube, Some are hosted on Github and some of the courses are hosted with Udacity. Getting all the other courses is not a problem but getting the courses with udacity is a bit tricky. From below list when you are redirected to the courses which are available on udacity use this trick to get the course.

Without scrolling further and viewing the nano degree program click on the first box and now you will get the free course.

Can a mechanical engineer can became a application developer? As of now i was working as manual tester also gained some knowledge in java oop concept and also in selenium whether i can move in testing profile orelse i can try hard to learn android devolopment. Please help me in this. Currently my age is 23 i want to get settled in good job within age 27. Please help me out.
ReplyDeleteYes you can. It will be a little hard as you will have to learn java first and then Android Development but you can. Complete all the courses and then give the exam. If you pass the exam you will become certified associate google developer. Then any company will hire you.
