Mahabharat is a story of Kauravas and Pandavas, in which Pandavas lose the kingdom of Indraprastha to Kauravas in the game of 'dyut'. Pandavas then go to 'Vanvas' for 12 years and 1-year 'Adnyatvas'. After returning Kauravas refuse to return the kingdom to Pandavas has thus the battle of 'Kurukshetra' takes place in which Pandavas win over Kauravas and become rulers of Indraprastha and Hastinapur.
