Developers at XDA have designed this app which will give you Android Pie gesture navigations on android phone that too without root. This app can also disable navigation bar if it is present in your system without root. People with hardware buttons for the navigation system can also use this app and enjoy Android Pie gestures on their phones.

Now open the app and grant access permissions to the app. If your device is having software navigation buttons then it will prompt you to disable the on-screen navigation buttons through ADB.
Follow the on-screen instructions mentioned on the screen to disable the system navigation bar. [First, make sure you have enabled gestures in the app] Now you can customize the gestures to your need. you will see an iPhone-like small bar at the bottom.
