How to deactivate Automatic Update on Windows 10

    Many of you must have got fed up with automatic updates feature of Windows 10. It unnecessarily sucks 50% of your network speed, makes your computer slow and also auto reboots anytime after automatically downloading the update without user's permission.

   I have found various workaround for this. Just keep reading as I discuss all three methods for disabling automatic updates in Windows 10

How to deactivate Automatic Update on Windows 10

Method 1:

This method is simple and you will have to update your PC once in a while like once in a month or once in 2 months So that your PC remains up to date.

1. Go to Start>Settings>Windows Update>Advanced Updates.
2. Now just scroll down and select the Pause button for updates. 

Now your updates are paused for a month or so. Once every month update your PC to the latest version of software updated available for your PC and then paused the update again.

Method 2:

This trick is also simple and it will disable the automatic updates whenever you are connected to the network.

1. Go to Settings>Network And Security>Networks.
2. Select the network you are connected to. 
3. Now click on network properties.
4. Set the network as Metered connection. 

This will disable automatic updates on that network.

Method 3:

This method is a little complicated a needs a little careful work. So just follow the step by step method carefully.

1. Click on Start and Ask Cortana for Group Policy editor or just type gpedit.msc and Select Group policy editor option.
2. Now go to Computer Configuration>Administrative Templates>Windows Components> and Double click on Configure Auto-update. 
3. Now select Enabled and in the Drop Down below select Notify for Download and AutoInstall. 

This will disable auto-update and Notify you whenever updates are available. This is the best method of all but requires a little patience.
